Registration deadline for the team t-shirt was Sept. 17. Participation fee of $40 or $150 raised must be received by that date to qualify for a t-shirt with the team name on the back. But you can still JOIN THE TEAM!!!!!!!

CIBC Corporate Team Award
Nicola Cassidy, Volunteer Run Director with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure, on behalf of CIBC presents Vicki Hape-Gould, Team Captain of the 2009 rUNBuddies with the CIBC Corporate Team Award. This is the 4th year the team has won this award! The award is given to the team that raises the most funds in the corporate category at the Fredericton run site. CONGRATULATIONS!
Despite the rainfall the Greater Fredericton Area raised over $246,000 and the national total was over $26.5 million. Thanks to all of the participants, volunteers and especially the survivors who make run day such a special event.

WOW - $25,000 Raised
Congratulations to the rUNBuddies, their friends, family and supporters! The team was part of the 10th Anniversary of the Fredericton Run site and helped to raise the National total to over $28 million.
The 2008 rUNBuddies were awarded the CIBC Corporate Team Spirit Award for the third straight year!

All about the rUNBuddies
UNB has shown its support for the CIBC Run for the Cure for several years with various teams on the Fredericton campus.
In 2005, Nicola Cassidy of Human Resources and Heather Smith of Computer Science were captains of their departmental teams (the HR Hooters and the Lovely Ladies of Computer Science). Meeting for the first time at the Fredericton run site they talked about creating a bigger team for the next year.
In 2006 they decided to try and combine all the teams and fundraising into one large super UNB team. From residences and offices to sport teams and entire faculties, the rUNBuddies team was born.
The 2006 team was comprised over more than 197 members and raised over $30,000 - not bad for our inaugral year! The 2007 rUNBuddies, at a 150 strong, raised a whopping $21,000+ and the 2008 team with 97 members raised over $25,000.
For four straight years the rUNBuddies have been awarded the CIBC Corporate Spirit Team Award for raising the most funds for a corporate team at the Fredericton run site.
Our mandate is simple:
- raise funds for the fight against breast cancer
- raise breast cancer awareness
- show UNB's commitment to help in this fight.
